The Grandeur of 2007 lies bare in the sky

It was a beautiful day as we welcomed another blissful year amongst the people gathering round Marina Bay to celebrate the countdown. While waiting for the last moments of 2007, this image was captured when we bid bye-bye to the last sunset for 2007 with its beauty surrounding the Singapore Central Business District. |

Golden sunrise and wishes everywhere.

In the early morning I was walking towards the Esplanade when suddenly I saw the golden sunrise and a boat sailing across the water. I quickly took a few photos. I realised that the workers in the boat were installing the wishing spheres. The boat left behind a sailing trail and this formed a perfect picture.
It showed that the scene is alive with activity. The warming sunrise signifies a new life and hope.

I do not write but I draw

This photo was taken in the afternoon. There were not many people at the bay at that time. I saw two tourists being approached to write their wishes on the sphere as they walked past the wishing booth. The father was not willing to write but the staff offered a marker to the boy and asked the kid to draw something on the sphere. I quickly took a few shots at low angle. The spotlight in the background indicates the countdown celebration going on at the bay. |
