Fire work on New Year Eve

This photo was taken on New Year's Eve, there were many people taking photos at the edge of the bay. I went there a little bit late and the vantage locations along the entire edge were already taken up. I remembered my friend's suggestion, to photograph the fireworks with some foreground instead of just the fireworks alone. That was why I positioned myself behind a family who had been picnicking there for 6 hours. I find the composition very interesting.

I took this photo because of the combination of the fireworks, the buildings at Marina Bay, the visual effects of the lighting and wishes written on the wishing spheres. This composition makes us proud about our country, Singapore.
